The grapes for this Rhône white blend come from the Derby Vineyard on the Westside of Paso Robles, California.
It is a blend of 50% Rousanne, 30% Marsanne, and 20% Viognier.
The wine was whole-cluster pressed, cold-settled, and then racked to fermenters. Select yeasts were used to cold-ferment until dry. The Viognier was fermented in new Hungarian oak barrels, while the Rousanne and Marsanne were fermented together in a refrigerated tank. When the fermentation was complete, all three were blended together in a refrigerated tank for storage, until bottling in late April, 2009.
